Shenzhen Guangming town Sanqiao and greenway phase I | SWA
Covering an area of about 11 square kilometers, is invested, developed and constructed by Shenzhen Overseas Chinese City Guangming group. SWA is invited to provide the overall planning and landscape design services of the town. The town is composed of dadingling Forest Park, core area and happy farmland. The No. 5 greenway route in Guangdong Province connects three functional areas through Guangming town and becomes the backbone of Guangming town planning.
Opportunity for phase I of Greenway 5 in dadingling forest park.
The first phase of Greenway 5 in dadingling Forest Park is the pilot project of Shenzhen Guangming town and Guangming Mountain Marathon. After the start of design, SWA focuses on the design and research of "greenway" itself according to the content of project consulting services, including pavement materials, rest nodes, basic service functions along the greenway, such as post station and urban furniture, etc., and has made a number of scheme comparison and selection. Although the scheme design is completed according to the original plan, we and the owner both believe that the "definition and design" of Greenway should not be limited to improving the infrastructure of greenway, but expect that the greenway design can have more innovative landscape strategy and combine with leading technology. Therefore, we return to the site to explore design opportunities and further study the characteristics of the site. After exploring the intersection of human and natural imprints, we summarize the most landscape value nodes on the greenway. In addition, we are no longer limited by the design boundary of greenway, but try to jump out of the limit of Greenway design, and constantly think about how to extend the greenway to multiple dimensions besides emphasizing the experience of tourists on the greenway.

Three bridges.
After rethinking the "definition" and site characteristics of greenway, we put forward the "three bridges" plan. The three bridges are respectively located at three nodes with unique natural conditions on the forest greenway. According to the design strategy of "science and technology, ecology and innovation", we give full play to the characteristics of each site and provide the modeling and detail design of floating bridge, exploratory bridge and suspension bridge.
Floating bridge: experience of "height control" - beyond the treetops, overlooking the Green Valley and the city skyline.
Explore the bridge: "integration" experience - integrate into the mountains and forests, explore the secret place.
Suspension bridge: "cross-border" experience - across two mountains, experience the landscape of wind and sound.

On the floating bridge, the landscape shadows that can be seen in close range are inlaid in the circle. It is the key to create "floating" and "lightness" that the stainless steel grid plate penetrates the bridge deck. The round bridge deck uses solar panels to collect energy for night lighting. The bridge experience is outward in the daytime, inward at night, and the charming floating ring has become a 24-hour destination.

Explore the bridge: "integration" experience - integrate into the mountains and forests, explore the secret place. The exploration bridge is a space on the greenway to explore, which is a different experience from the floating bridge in terms of space and height.
The bridge is located in a narrow valley pocket, away from the greenway main road. A hidden path winds through the forest, leading to a mesh, cantilevered platform extending to the woodland pond to explore the secret place. The centre's Web provides adventure and fun for visitors of all ages. The surrounding guardrails are integrated with the seats. While providing visitors with a sense of security, the various lengths of the seats and the shapes designed according to the human mechanics provide visitors with a variety of options for leaning, sitting and lying down.
Suspension bridge: "cross-border" experience - across two mountains, experience the landscape of wind and sound.
A suspension bridge with a total length of 100 meters connects the main greenway and litchi forest and spans a "Canyon" nearly 30 meters deep. We hope to take advantage of the natural conditions of the site and innovative landscape design strategies - sound landscape and vibration landscape, and use the lightest and simplest structure to avoid damage to the mountain. Based on the concept of "hanging" in the valley proposed by SWA, after several discussions with SBP (Schlaich bergermann partner), the suspension bridge finally uses the SBP designed steel strip bridge. This is the first steel belt bridge in China. It is not only an innovative attempt, but also provides a dynamic but safe experience.

Shenzhen Guangming third bridge and greenway phase I project give greenway a new meaning. On the premise of protecting the original ecology, using innovative technology to build a light, low impact structure, thus bringing unforgettable travel experience. From a single route based on terrain and ecological design on the ground to a "three-dimensional space" with multi-dimensional and multi sensory experience, Shenzhen Guangming third bridge and greenway phase I is a good example of using innovative landscape design to promote ecological and economic development. In addition, the project is also a new breakthrough in urban public landmark and greenway services. Based on the good response of the public and the government's support for the project and the provision of more funds to carry out the project promotion, continue to work for the goal of supporting healthy life. SWA is very honored to be the leader of the project design, combining the innovative landscape design with the leading structural technology, repositioning the greenway of Guangming town, and providing a natural and ecological public space for Shenzhen citizens.
